STANDARD COLORS
Lamps are manufactured in 2 colors: White and Green/Blue, and that
is the description
of the lamp color when it is on. When the lamp is off the White appears
salmon colored*,
and the Green/Blue appears white. Other colors are achieved through
the application of color
filters over the white or aqua base lamp.
The aqua lamp has color coordinates of x = 0.177, y = 0.414
The white lamp has a color temperature of approximately 5,400º
Kelvin
Lamps emit in only the visible spectrum, with no UV or Infrared energy.
STANDARD COLOR FILTERS
Standard colors offered for strip lamps (up to 6" wide) are fluorescent
red, orange, yellow, and
green, in addition to blue and magenta. The color filters allow varying
amounts of light transmission. This should be considered when designing
with color (i.e.: Blue and Magenta lamps are only useful for dark
nightclub-type or theatrical environments).
CUSTOM COLOR FILTERS
Custom colors can be achieved by using third party color filters over
the white or green base
lamp. These manufacturers also offer color temperature correction
filters. Note that third party
filters have varying degrees of UV stability. Consult the manufacturer
for specific application
assistance or general information such as sample books.
